Review every available angle because two clubs with the same model name can have very different wear. 01 ### Face and grooves Look for the strike pattern, groove definition, scratches, and any concentrated wear in the center of the face. 02 ### Sole Normal turf marks and surface scratches are common. Deep gouges, unusual grinding, or visible damage deserve closer review. 03 ### Crown and topline On woods and hybrids, check for chips, skymarks, and dents. On irons, look at the topline and hosel from more than one angle. 04 ### Shaft and grip Confirm the shaft label, visible finish, and grip condition. Ask when a label, length, or grip detail is not clear in the listing. Terms used in the catalog ## What the condition labels mean. The condition value comes from the inventory source and should be read together with the exact photos and full eBay listing. **New** Listed as new in the source inventory. Confirm packaging, tags, and any seller notes on eBay. **New - Other** May be unused but open-box, without original packaging, or otherwise outside a standard retail-new presentation. Read the eBay notes. **Used** Previously owned or played. The amount and location of wear can vary, so the exact photos are the most useful evidence. **Not specified** The source listing does not provide a normalized condition value. Review the photos and ask before buying if anything is unclear. Cosmetic versus functional ## Marks that matter differently. ### Usually cosmetic Light sole scratches, normal bag chatter, small paint chips away from the striking area, and ordinary grip discoloration are often visual issues. Their importance depends on your preference and the price. ### Worth a closer look Dents, cracks, bends, heavy face wear, damaged grooves, loose heads, altered hosels, deep crown marks, or unclear shaft labels need additional confirmation.
